The whole team are first class and I would not hesitate to recommend any patient to register with them. I always feel in 'safe hands' with the staff and I particularly like the way that my questions are answered to ensure that I fully understand. Many thanks for the great service that you provide.

Just got off the phone. Furious. Rang at 11am to book an afternoon appt, got through at about 11:10 only to be greeted with a message telling me I am going to have to wait further as they are short staffed through sickness and annual leave. My problem? 10 minutes later it went silent and the line dropped. Grrr. Tried ringing through for another HALF AN HOUR and got nowhere. 247 dial attempts later (shows on my phone - wasn't counting!) and no appointment for my 4 month old daughter. More than 40 minutes of my life wasted and for nothing. This is not the first time and probably not the last. Cathedral Surgery, sort it out!

Cathedral practice has improved significantly since I first came here almost nine years ago. Things are clearer on the web site; the ease of booking is better and the receptionists are always courteous and kind. I think we all need to remember that, if we are really ill, then we should be happy to see the duty doctor on that day and not be upset if our own doctor is not available. Generally, even if I have had to wait on the phone for a while, I have been able to see my GP if they are working that day. With the current escalation in people wanting to use their services, I appreciate that in peak times there will sometimes be problems. I think it is also relevant to note that they have no vacancies for GPs here due to their high standards, which is not true of other practices in the area. We need to support them in any way we can.

I can never get an appointment. It seems this surgery does't cater for people who have jobs and children and have to plan their lives a few days in advance. I just phoned (15th April) to make an appointment. I was told the first available appointment is 5th May - that's 3 weeks away!! At my wife's surgery you just phone up and they ask when you would like an appointment. I"m sure the Doctors are excellent but I just don't know because I never get to see them.
